Motorcycle Repair: carb removal 86 vt700, honda service manual, ebay auction

Question
i am pulling my 86 honda vt700 motor for rebuild...   how do i remove the carb and choke cables from the carb?

Answer
Hi Phillip,

I recommend that you get a copy of the Honda Service manual. You'll need it.

The manual has illustrated procedures for removing cables and more. Other brand manuals lacks information. Spend the extra few dollars and get the Honda manual.

Locate the choke plugers on the side of the carb bodies. Use a wrench and unscrew the plastic nuts attaching choke cable to each carburetor. It helps to slide the rubber cable end cover up and off of the plastic nut.

Loosen the locknuts and nuts securing the two throttle cables to the cable bracket. See the last two images on this eBay auction to view the parts mentioned above:

I return tech files by email. There was no email address with your question as requested and explained in my instructions.
