Motorcycle Repair: IT 200 yamaha starting problems, air compression, new spark

Hi Chris

I have a yamaha IT 200 86 or 85 model, I replaced the crank seals and cleaned out the carburator i also fitted a new spark plug and got a auto electrision to see of there was spark and he confirmed that she does spark, but she does not want to start,  do you have any advice for me

Hi Eben.

An engine needs 3 things to run; Mixture (fuel/air), compression and spark.

Make sure that you are getting fuel and compression.  Check your valve settings as well.

 The engine is missing one or more of the required firing components, so once you figure out which it is, you should have an engine that runs.
