Question -
1340 evo backfires through exhaust upon acceleration.
THought it might be intake seals but they seem ok ?

Answer -
Have you made any changes to the bike lately? Pull the spark plugs and let me know what color they are

Answer -
Your running rich and that is why its backfiring. I would first test the coil and plugs wires to make sure they are ok.
When you changed the valve seals you never said if you pulled the cylinders when you did the work. If you did, did you hone the cylinders and put in new rings?
Mike

Answer
It is pretty rare that you get bad gas anymore, but it can happen.
Do the test on the coil and plug wires.
If the plugs are black and wet then you are burning some oil. SInce you put in new valve seals the oil is probably coming from around the rings.
I would do a compression test and a leak down test also to check the rings
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
