Motorcycle Repair: Sputtering, yamaha 1100 virago, water in the fuel
QuestionChris,
I have a 1989 Yamaha 1100 Virago, it was sputtering when I would accelerate, I added some Sea Foam to the fuel tank because it was acting like there was water in the fuel. The problem went away for about 50 miles until I decided to get on the throtle and then it started to sputter again. Any Ideas?
AnswerHi Scott.
It could be a couple of things. You could need the valves done, the camchain tension done, the carbs synchronised and/or serviced, or the air filter could be in need of a change.
Check those and see what you find.
Good luck and ride safe.
