Motorcycle Repair: 1983 Yamaha Midnight Virago 920, virago owners, rare bike

I have not started this bike for 8 years.  My mechanic says he cannot find the parts for this rare bike to get it started (carb parts, etc.)  Either I get it running or sell it for junk (just sold my harley.  I don't want it sitting around any longer.  PLease help?

I don't know of anywhere that will specifically carry the parts that you need, but if you check online for your bike, you may find a few groups that will be able to help you find the parts you need as well as some links and connections to suppliers for the parts you need.

Start with this link and look for some online groups and sites that are Virago Owners.
