Motorcycle Repair: Starting Problem, vacuum line, modual

Question
I checked and apparently have no spark to either plug. The bike only has 1100 miles on it so I doubt the plugs are bad. They appear relatively clean with little evidence of wear. Since it was starting after sitting for short periods and then would quit and now won't start at all (but turns over and injects gas), do you think it could be a fuse, coil or something else?

Question -
I have a 1999 Custom 883 Sportster that has under 1200 miles on it. It ran perfectly until recently. I was low on gas and just as I pulled in to the station the engine quit. It had been running fine to that point so I thought I had timed my refueling perfectly as I coasted in to the pump (not on reserve!). Filled up the tank and started up without a problem and then it died. Restarted and it idled for about 30 seconds and died. This scenario was repeated several times. If I let it sit for 30 minutes I could go about 2/10ths of a mile before it would die again. I thought it was a clogged fuel line. Fuel line is clear, petcock valve is good as is the vacuum line and valve by the petcock. Gas is injected into the carb. so I am at a loss here. Could it be the ignition coil? Motor turns over but will not even pop now. Thoughts?

Answer -
First check to make sure you have a spark. Pull your plugs and holding a plug to the cylinder turn the bike over. Do you have spark? If you do then you might have dirt in the carb. Pull the carb and check the jets for dirt

Answer
First you are going to have to check to see if you have power to the coil using a test light. If there is power then test the coil and plug wires. If they pass check the over lean modual. If that is ok, then the ignition is probably bad.
