Motorcycle Repair: yamaha v star lubrication, auto motive, yamaha v star

I have a 2000 v-star classic 650.Had a new clutch put in and I checked the oil saw none added 1/2 quart 20/w50 standard auto motive oil and am leaving in 4 days for a trip.Cant get it in to be serviced.will this oil I put in hurt anytning?

A:  The description narrative above is hard to understand. I'm not sure when one sentence ends and the next begins, respectfully.

In any case, the oil you've added should be fine.
