Motorcycle Repair: S&S ticking, valve rocker, pushrods

I just installed a 124 cu S&S motor with the IST Igntion.
All went pretty well but I got a ticking sounds coming from the valve /rocker area.
I know I will get some ticking from this area but
seems to get more louder the longer I run the bike.
I thought maybe it was a exhaust leak, I tried new
gaskets on the exhaust.
I was wondering if I readjusted my pushrods would possibly help to quite down the ticking?

Your ticking is proably the pushords. Its valve lash. You can try shorting the pushrods around a 1/2 turn and see if that doenst help. Remember, those lifters will take abot 10 miles to completly pump up after you shorten them
