QUESTION: Yes. I have replaced the fuel lines and filter.

Answer
If you just used spray cleaner to clean the carb, I would go back and soak it in carb cleaner for at least an hour.  We use an ultrasonic cleaner in the shop and still have to go back and re-clean carburetors.  Use a fine wire or monafilament to chase all the holes and compressed air to blow it dry.

Also, if you didn't replace the intake gaskets, be sure to do that.  If this one has the plastic insulator/intake manifold, it has to be flat.  I glue 600 grit sandpaper to float glass and flatten the mounting surfaces of these things when going through a carburetor.

In the shop, I would do a pressure and vacuum test in a search for an air leak and a pressure and pop-off test on the carb.  This requires a special plate for the intake and a seal for the exhaust in addition to the pressure and vacuum pump.  If you can't get it to run right after polishing the insulator and going back through the carb, you might want to call around and see if there's a local shop that would do these tests for you.  I would charge someone $30 to do them so that should give you an idea what it might cost.

Two-stroke engines can be very tedious to diagnose without this sort of testing.  You may have an air leak and you may have a carb that's just not going to clean up. It would also be worthwhile to check the compression, just to see where that's at.  Let me know if you have any questions Thanks, PK.
