Motorcycle Repair: adjustable rev-teck push rods, hydraulic lifters, head gasket

Question
I need information on how to adjust adjustable Rev-Tek push rods.  I have a 1985 FXRS Harley Davidson, with Eldebrock heads, 511 Lift Cam, hydraulic lifters.

I just replaced the head gasket.  That's when the problem started.

Answer
Pick a pushrod. Lets say the front exhaust. Rotate the motor until the lifter is all the way in the down position. Now leagthen the pushrod until its tight. Let is sit for around 15 minutes. Check it. If you can turn it between your fingers make it longer again until its tight. What you are trying to do is bleed the lifter. Keep doing this, make sure you wait about 15 minutes, until you cant turn it between your fingers. Loosen it until it turns between your fingers and then about a half of turn. Do this for each one and your good to go.
Good luck and happy riding
