Motorcycle Repair: carburator dependability, carburators, fuel injection

I am debating the pros and cons of buying a Harley with a carburator as opposed to a Vulcan that is fuel injected.  How dependable are the carburators on bikes these days and will I encounter more problems with a carburated bike?  Thanks for your time.  Amber

There are a few advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages: Easier to change to higher performance
           Less cost to have the bike worked on
Disavantages: the higher the elevation you go the worse it runs. Like when you ride from sea level into the mountains
             Fuel injection, in my opinion runs better
             harder to start than fuel injection
