Motorcycle Repair: honda trail 90 timing, honda trail 90, exhuast pipe

Question
I purchased a 1970 trail 90 that had water damage.  Some how water got into the exhuast pipe and rusted the piston and cylinder.  After honing and a new set of piston and rings. I put it back together and everything is locked up. The kick starter won't budge. I was wondering if you could tell how to time the motor properly and if there are any other problems that might have occured to cuase this problem. I don't have a service manual, thinking maybe the timing is 180 out. Thank you

Answer
Hi Jesse,

Sorry for the delay. I'm on vacation. I normally reply within a few hours.

I would need to inspect the engine to offer an accurate diagnosis.

I don't have the service manual for this model, either.
