Motorcycle Repair: keys & ign switch, jumper wire, key switch

Question
I bought a 2004 1200 sportster damaged from ins. desposal auction.there were no keys,what is involved to get the m/c running. can i by pass the keys(and ign switch)

If you want o bypass the key switch just run a jumper wire from the hot post on the key switch to the ignition post on the switch. now you can start the bike. I would suggest, however, that you buy a new ignition switch so you have a key.
