Motorcycle Repair: wheels, stroke fuel, ounces per gallon

Question
Hi, I have a couple of questions. First I am changing a bent spoke and would like to know if rule of thumb is to change just the bent spoke or to replace one on either side of the bent spoke or to replace half of the spokes on the wheel? Also for a two stroke fuel, oil mix, how many oz. of oil should i add to a gal of gas if the mix calls for 50:1, thanks.

Answer
Hi Norm,

You can get by with replacing the defective spoke in most cases.

Check radial and lateral play of the wheel. True the wheel accordingly.

If the wheel is too badly tweaked, investigate and repair accordingly.

50:1 premix ratio is 2.56 ounces per gallon.
