Motorcycle Repair: STARTING, fuel air mixture, check air filter

1984 HONDA MAGNA 700CC. ENGINE STARTS no problem  WITH CHOKE ON, BUT AS SOON AS CHOKE IS SHUT OFF ENGINE WON'T START. With choke on, engine will run all day.

Hi Paul.

you have a fuel/air mixture issue.

Check the following:

Clean and synchronize carbs.

Check air filter.  Replace as needed.

Check connections at exhausts heads.  Tighten as needed.

Check and adjust as needed - valve gap and timing.

Start with that and let me know what you find.
