Motorcycle Repair: oil in air filter and coil, buell m2, vent tube

Hi Mike. I have a 97 Buell M2. Recently oil started coming out of the air filter. What do you think is the cause? Also, when checking the coil, after you remove the wires, the leads on the ohm meter, do you place one on the coil and ground the other? What should the readings be?

The oil problem you are having is from a vent tube in the back of the air cleaner. It vents the heads. A little oil travels with the air. You can run the hose to the bottom of the motor and solve that problem.
Testing the coil. The two posts the the wires are attached to are the ones you put the OHM meter on. It should be around 3 Ohms.
