Motorcycle Repair: Recharging Problem, honda shadow 750, honda shadow 750 ace

Mark, I'm the owner of a 1999 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. After riding my cycle the battery will loose it's charge. I have replaced the battery but the problem still exist. After doing some research I'm wondering if the stator is bad. How can I check this out on my own, do you know of any replacement directions for this item, how do you fill about aftermarket stators. What do you think. Thank You!

Hi Patrick,

Perform an output test of the altenator. Test the regulator/rectifier for proper operation. Check for loose or corroded electrical connections, especially battery connections.

Get a copy of the service manual and learn about repairing and maintaining your MC.
