I need to remove my radiator from a 1997 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe.  Thanks for your reply.  Larry

Hi Larry.

Most liquid-cooled bikes have a fairly simple proceedure for radiator removal.

1) Drain the coolant into an apropriate container.  The drain plug is normally a bolt on the underside of the frame on the low side of the bike.

2) Disconnect the coolant hoses to the radiator.

3) Disconnect the electrical connections to the thermosensor and to the cooling fan.

4) Disconnect the mounting bolts for the radiator.

5) Remove the radiator.

That's all there is to it.  Now remember that specifics vary from bike to bike, so refer to the repair manual for specifics for your bike.
