Hi Mark     engine has a knock is there a way to ck the rod without tearing down  or has there been another problem thats has been causing knock that you know of        THANKS RON

Hi Ron,

Check cylinder compression and perform a leak-down if necessary.

Check oil and inspect closely for evidence of excessive metal fragments.

Otherwise, perform a tear down to inspect and measure parts.
