Motorcycle Repair: 1987 Honda Cbr 600, honda cbr 600, hydraulic clutch

Mr. Falcon,

I am a new rider and just bought a used 1987 Honda Cbr 600 Hurricane.  It runs pretty good, and has about 32,000 miles on it.  The clutch is really really tight and hard to hold.

Question:

How can you loosen the clutch handle so that it can be easier to press?

Hi Oliver.

The CBR has a hydraulic clutch which is not adjustable in that manner.  No clutch is, really.  Your hand strength will increase through use of the bike, though and it will get easier over time.  We all go through this as beginning riders, so (not to sound harsh) you will just have to get used to it, which you will do over time.  Welcome to the brotherhood.
