Motorcycle Repair: OIL, factory oil, 20w50

I HAVE A 2005 ROAD KING CUSTOM AND NEED SOME ADVICE ABOUT OIL.  I HEARD FACTORY OIL IS GARBAGE.
WHAT DO YOU RUN IN YOUR BIKE? WHAT ABOUT A FILTER?
YOU TOLD ME BEFORE YOU DON'T RUN SYNTHETIC IN YOURS, SO BASICALLY I NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S GOOD REGULAR OIL.THANKS.

I run Penzoil 20W50 in my bike. On the filter I use a harley filter. Any 20W50 will work as long as its a SAE oil. Then it meets the same standards as all other oils with the SAE mark. The factory oil is a good oil, but you pay more for it because it says harley on it, not because its any better.
The only reason I dont run synthetic is the cost of it. There are many people that sware by it. Remember, your trans oil is semi-synthetic and the primary is synthetic. On the fifferent oils, either regular or synthetic I think it is personnel preference.
