Car Stereos: headunit, stock ford, pioneer work


Question
i bought about 3 truck head unit adapters and head units none of them are playing sound to the speakers BUT the stock ford headunit works every time i have a sony a jvc and a pioneer i need help cant figure it out all the wires are connected on the adapter but the 2 blue 2 orange and one white and black they dont have any wires to be joined with and i dont have a amp right this sec so i dont need the blue now help me please A.S.A.P.

Hey Tony -

Thanks for the question.  I need some more info:  What model and year is your ford?  What type of stock radio system came in the car?  What radio are you trying to hook up that you're having problems with?  You said JVC, Sony and Pioneer work but others don't?  

Check out this wiring color diagram, it has all the color of your harness and whnat they do.  I have a feeling that you don't have the wires hooked up correctly.  Black is your ground and needs to be hooked up 100%.
