Question
i recently purchased a 450 nighthawk it was sold to me saying it is very coldblooded. i took it omn a 15 min cruise down the road still seemed like it was cutting out some. i have not owned a bike for 20 years it was ridden daily by prev. owner is this normal or do carbs need adjusted or something thanks only has 11000 and its a 82

Answer
Hi Dave,

I would need to inspect the MC to offer an accurate diagnosis.

The carburetors may be varnished a bit, out of synchronization, or the spark plugs may be fouling or worn.

A couple of quick checks would reveal much about the problem. Consider having a local shop perform a complete service (tune-up).
