Motorcycle Repair: Shocks, 2005 883r, bike frame

I have a 2005 883R. I want to lower it with a pair of 11" Progressive 412 shocks. I've never changed shocks on a bike before. What are the do's and don'ts on changing them out?

Its a pretty cut and dry change out. you need to support the bike frame when you take the shocks off with somthing ro it will drop down. Once you have it supported remove the shocks and replace them. Make sure when you sit on the bike it doesnt rub the fender.
