Hi Paul,

In a nutshell, I recommend using the appropriate viscosity oil designed for the temperatures of your environment.

Read the label on a container of engine oil for a temperature chart.

10W40 and 10W30 weight oils work well for most of the United States for everyday street riding. Use a premium brand oil sold at the local car parts store.

Racing applications and other extreme conditions may require other viscosities for protection.
