Motorcycle Repair: air shocks, yamaha venture royale, air shocks

Question
I have a 1984 Yamaha Venture Royale 1100. When I go to pump up the air in the back or front shocks, I get a error message of E4. I have looked in my manual and cannot find out what this means. I also can not get the air shocks to get any air. Any help would be greatly appreiciated. My other biker friends thought it might be a fuse, but we have checked that out and elimated that as a possibility.
Thank you

Answer
Hi Randy,

I cannot find anything on the error code in my resources. I would need to be present and inspect the problem to offer accurate advice.

I recommend having a local tech quickly diagnose the problem for you. Usual fee for most diagnosis is one hour at the shop's per hour flat-rate.

Once you know what the problem is, consider making repairs yourself.
