What year and model bike is it? Do you have solid or hydrolic lifters? What pushrods you do you have?
Mike
pushrods unknown--
93 "fatboy" built by minneapolis custom cycle
the lifters are hydrolic

Answer
I am not going to be able to help you unless I know what pushrods they are. the problem is different manufactures have different thread pitches so they all dont adjust the same. I can get you close, however.
Start with any valve. Rotate the motor so that the valve is is the closed position or the pushrod is all the way down. Turn the pushrod down and then you around 24 flats on the nut. Let the bike sit for around 15 minutes so that the lifter will bleed down. Go back and check the pushrod. It should turn in your fingers. If not, let is sit a little while longer. Do this to each one. remember, they must turn between your fingers. If they are to tight the valve might hit the piston.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
