Motorcycle Repair: Carb info on a 96 ZZR600 kawasaki, kawasaki ninja, fuse box

Question
Hello Mike,
I noticed that you have answerd some questions about other street bikes and I was wondering if you can help me out? So here is mine-

I own a 1996 ZZR600 Kawasaki Ninja, My problem lies somewhere in the carburetor I think? My gas keeps leaking into my oil reservoir, and fowling out my spark plugs. I took the air cleaner off and sprayed carb-cleaner into every hole in every carburetor. Replaced the spark plugs and put it all back together. Changed the oil and the oil filter 4 times. It ran great for about two days, and then it started over-flowing again.  I am a decent mechanic when it comes to cars, but I am not sure of this motorcycle? Do I need to rebuild the carburetors? If so, do the sale kits for that, and are the user frendly (good directions) or do I have to have a professional do it? Or am I chasing the wrong problem thinking it's the carburetors? I noticed as I was taking the bike apart again that there was a lot of fule in carb #1 just beneth the butterfly trap (looking at it as though you were sitting on the bike in a riding position). Carb # 1 would be on the far left hand side? But it was filled with gas. There was none or very little in the other carbs.

My second question is-
Doing all this work on it I think I fried the fuse box console. I can turn the engine over by bridging a link between the starter relay switch and the positive connection on the battery, but the fuse box only “clicks” when I try and use the ignition button. I can hear and feel the fuel pump working, but that's it. Is my fuse box fried? Or is it something eles? Any suggestion?

Thank you for your valuable time,

Marcus

Answer
Sounds like your float in the carb is sticking. You will have to remove the carbs and rebuild them. Spraying carb cleaner in it wont help.
As to your second question, I am not going to be able to help you. I only know harleys
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
