Motorcycle Repair: Benly Dream CA95, reproduction copies, rear shock

Question
I finally got myself a barn-fresh resto project! A late model Benly touring Dream 150. She's really rough, but about 80% there and i have already bought some of the more obvious missing parts (side covers etc). Would one of your Dream Restoration CDs be what I need? I>E>- wouldn't all the principals be the same, except the specifics of my engine size? I could use your expertise on how to start, what to start with e.t.c.
Thanks for any answers!

Answer
Patrick, the "principles" are all the same for most all motorcycles, but the details vary greatly. The only parts that interchange between a CA92 and a 250-305 Dream are the rear shock covers, although some people have been able to swap the seats between the two, it isn't an exact interchange.

The engines are completely different in design. 125-150 engines have the camchain on the left side, points on the crankshaft, etc.

Check with Ray Davis at the BENLY PAGE in the UK for some help. Ebay usually has all kind of bits and pieces. There was a change from flat sided mufflers to round sided ones in 1963-64. They also changed the fuel tanks and side panels. You need to get a parts manual and a copy of the shop manual. Use the parts manual as a guide to ensure that you get the right parts for the correct series of machine.
Contact skybolt99@hotmail.com to see if he has some reproduction copies of the manuals for you.
I hate to turn away business, but I really don't think that my CDs will be of help to you as far as a Benly goes.
There is a lot of good reading in them, though! It just doesn't pertain to the Benly series, even though they look similar.
