Motorcycle Repair: build up on piston heads and valve area, piston heads, one cylinder

2003 heritage classic...one cylinder went out while riding, oil sprayed all over bike from air filter,took cylinder heads apart and found major build up of burned oil...thought this was maybe why one cylinder seized up?can i clean the heads and pistons, or do i need to have them professionally done? what do i use to break up the build up?

If you seized a piston, then youa re going to have to have the cylinder bored and fitted for a bigger piston. Cylinders on your bike have to be bored with pressure plates, so yes you will have to have a shop do them for you.
