Motorcycle Repair: Starter Gl1100, starter motor, shively

I need to know how to remove and replace the starter on a 1981 GL1100 Goldwing Interstate, I don't have a owners manual or service book.

Hi Glendale,

You'll need the Service Manual for this procedure. The manual will pay for itself with the first repair or maintenance you perform. I recommend Honda's manual. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

The engine may need to be removed or at least rasied/lowered to remove the starter motor. Thanks be to Honda.
