Motorcycle Repair: Piston ring installation, honda xl250, piston ring installation

Mark, I bought a ART big bore piston & rings for my 72 honda xl250 & need some help with the ring installation. It has the oil ring & two other rings, but one of the rings is teflon coated, and the other is not. Those two rings are identicle in size & shape, except the one that is not teflon coated has a letter s on one side of the ring. Can you tell me which ring is top & which is second. I searched the internet & cannot find any info. Thanks for any help...Mike

Hi Mike,

I am not sure, but I think the teflon coated ring is 2nd from top. Letter marking side of rings faces up.
