Motorcycle Repair: 3000 rpm studder, crane hi, triple valve

Question
I have an 80" Evo with 11:1 compression, ported & polished HD heads with stock dia. race flow valves, S&S triple valve springs, 561 cam, S&S super E, and a complete Crane Hi 4 ignition. I have been through many pipes trying to find the best combination and the only ones that I can even get to work is a crapy set of 2 1/4" Samson big guns with cones in the tail end. It actually runs pretty good like this but I would think these large dia. pipes would be a bad thing, yet I have got the best performance with them. I have tried a Kerker 2/1 W and WO baffle, just header, with torque cones, 2" drags W & WO baffles, W & WO torque cones. I am experiencing a really bad flat spot that I belive to be reversion at 3000-3800 with all these combinations but the Samsons. I just put a set of V&H staitshots on, with the baffles in it is a terd, with the baffles out it screams from about 3800 on but I am still getting that really bad flat spot, it almost sounds like it's on a studder box. Is this too much cam for this motor? Or sould I look somewere else? Any ideas on how to get a quality pipe to work would be greatly appreciated?  I just hate the Samson pipes.
Thanks

Answer
I have seen different pipes not work with a S&S carb. Since you have a S&S cam and S&S carb I am going ot refer you to their tech support. They know what pipes work with their carb and cams since they have probably tried them all. Their number is 608-627-8324
Good luck and happy riding
