Motorcycle Repair: Steering spindle race installation, 2000 zx9r, old frame

Question
I'm replacing the frame on my 2000 ZX9r and need to know the proper technique for installing the steering spindle inner races into the frame steering head. I popped them out of the old frame with a drift and hammer. Driving them in the same way presents a problem because I would need a very specific diameter drift. Can the races be re-seated when re-torquing the top nut, or will this damage the bearing racks? Do I need to do some elaborate procedure like freezing the races before assembly?
Thanks for your reply

Answer
Hi K. Gregory,

Using heat and cold to ease installation of bearings is common practice.

I recommend the service manual for assistance. The manual has illustrated procedures and important warning intel that should be known.

You may need Kawasaki special tools for the installation.
