1974 honda cb200t trying to find uot if it has a rectifier or a voltage regulator, location? inside starter? not getting chare to battery bike kills battery when it runs only getting 12volts off battery when running  chuckpond2000@yahoo.com

Hi Chuck,

Sorry for the delay. I'm busy working overtime.

The MC has a regulator & rectifier. Look behind side covers.

Perform an output test to determine condition of charging system. Check reg/rec for proper operation. Check electrical connectors for clean, tight connections. Battery must be fully charged and in good condition or test results will not be accurate and MC will not run properly.
