Motorcycle Repair: not running, kawasaki bayou 220, curious mind

Question
Hi;
  i own a Kawasaki Bayou 220 and this problem persists for the longest. I usually leave tha atv for the winter months in my garage for 4 months without turning it on.When the spring season arrives i drop in the battery and try to start it. It wont start.Being of curious mind i took apart the carb,cleaned it dropped it in and cranked it.It ran for the remainder of the summer than again it wouldnt start.I did pour the gas stabilizer installed an in-line fuel filter,the sparks arcs,but it looks like the fuel isnt reaching the spark.If i leave the choke on the on position overnight and crank the motor it'll start but when it warms up and i drop the choke the motor dies and cannot be restarted no matter if i again put the choke on .Is this somekind of Japanese carb from hell or something else.
              Thanks ;

Answer
Hi Tom,

The engine starting and running with choke, but stalls without choke indicates the pilot circuits inside the carburetor is obstructed (varnished).

The carb will need more thoroughly cleaned to restore proper performance.
