Motorcycle Repair: Remove stuck barrels, soft explosives, rubber mallet

Question
Hi Mark.  Hope that yoy can help.  I have an old CB1100f that I would like to re-ring. The only problem is the barrels appear to be stuck probably by corrosion around the studs.  I have been soaking them in penetrene, diesel & now wd40.  Using the capillery tube on the wd40 is removing lots of dirt & sand but still I can't gain any movement. Iv'e removed 7 of he 12 engine studs but even stilsens wont remove the others. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Answer
Hi Steve,

Apply heat and use a rubber mallet and pry tool on pry points. Also, try and turn crankshaft. Rusted rings may help break cylinders free.

If all else fails, visit the local gun and knife show and pick up some soft explosives. : )
