Motorcycle Repair: Hypoid Final Drive Gear Oil, v65 magna, mystik oil

I have a 1984 V65 Magna that I bought new and it has 41k miles on it. I wanted to replace the final drive gear oil and the Honda shop manual recommends Hypoid 80w. I don't have that type of oil, but got a Mystik JT-7 80w-90 Multi-Purpose oil instead. Will this Mystik oil work? Thanks, Chris

I don't know a thing about Mystik products. Hypoid oil is made specific for the type of gear contacts that are unique to that type of gear tooth design. Unless you can find out whether Mystik 80-90 is compatible or is a replacement for hypoid oil I wouldn't use it. You can get hypoid oil at most auto parts stores....
