Motorcycle Repair: Engine swap, suzuki katana 750, suzuki bandit

Question
It's too late, I bought the motor already, but I wanted to know if I made a wise investment in purchasing an '01 Suzuki Bandit 1200S engine to replace my '03 Suzuki Katana 750 engine. I'm building a "sleeper". I know I'll have to use a hydraulic clutch, bought that already too, but I'm concerned about the motor mounts. My friend has a Bandit and I eye-balled the mounts and they seemed alike but I couldn't take measurements. He's in Germany now. I've read the specs on both engines and found they both use the same carbs. Will my jetted Kat carbs work on the Bandit plant? I plan on installing a 5 degree ignition advancer to go with the Two Brothers C5 exhaust. If you could give me advice on this it would be great!

Answer
Hi Dwight,

Once the engine, carburetors, and other performance parts are installed, read the  spark plugs and feel the power band to know if any carb tuning is necessary.

I return tech info files via email. Need your email addy as requested.
