Motorcycle Repair: fork swap, time bob, rake

Question
HI, Mike--I am thinking about building my '98 Super glide into an old-time "bob-job", which would include changing to an FL front end---would there be any problem doing this, mechanically, and if not, do you think there would be any handling issues to worry about?---thanks in advance

Answer
You are good to go. You should have any problems with what you are doing. If you are changing the rake of the bike, remember, the shorter the rake the easier it is to turn, but harder to keep in a straight line. Longer rake, harder to turn and easier to keep in a straight line. With what you are doing, however, you should be fine.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
