Motorcycle Repair: Alternator on 2004 XL custom, new bikes, sportster

I was wandering if you could tell me what is the normal Amperage draw on a stock 2004 Sportster and what what the maximum is that can be used without it not being able to keep the battery charged. I am asking because i would like to use a much more powerful HeadLamp bulb (90/130 watt) and i do not want to get stuck somewhere because my bike couldnt keep the battery charged.

I am not sure what the amperage draw is you your bike. That is somthing you would need to check with Harley on. I have no reference to it. But, with the new bikes you would e fine with changing the light and have no problem
