Motorcycle Repair: No spark, continuity tests, trx 90

I've been working on my trx 90 and have been getting no spark. I've been running continuity tests but i'm not sure if it's the stater or the coil how would I know?

Sorry to say, but if you check my profile, I only work on harleys.
This might help however. I am using what I know about harleys and it might apply to you. If not check with some of the other experts and they may be able to help.
First, remove the plug and ground it to the cylinder. Turn it over. Are you getting a spark? If not, then check at the coil. You should have a hot side and a side the comes from the ignition. If neither is hot then you either have a short. If one is then its either the ignition, the coil or the plug wire itself.
