Motorcycle Repair: Think I fixed problem, ultra groundpounder, intermediate jet

Question
I e-mailed you a few hours ago about my Ultra Groundpounder not getting enough fuel to the carb. I pulled the bowl off and checked the float level pouring fuel thru a fuel line into the bowl. I had the float level way to low. I am a Rookie and this is a rookie mistake, anyway, I put everything back together and turned the fuel on and the line pressured up and is staying full. I still would like your thoughts as this may not be the last of it. I also installed a K & N filter for a tear drop air cover, having to modify the backing plate. Using this filter is not going to cause me to re-jet is it ? I have noticed that with the K & N installed, the bike idles lower as if I need to adjust the idle screw, what do you think and what is the best way to do it. Thanks

Answer
Glad you fixed the problem.
By changing the air filter you shouldnt have to rejet, but ride the bike for about 50 miles. Pull one plug and check the color. If it is very white then you are running to lean and need to go bigger on the intermediate jet.
good luck and happy riding
