Motorcycle Repair: 1997 Suzuki Bandit 1200s, electrical diagnosis, suzuki bandit

Question
It was riding great on my 2 mile ride to work (I let it warm up every morning).  Come down to the parking garage at 5pm to go home; turn it on (all lights work, and later I check the fuses - all fine); hit the button, and NOTHING!  Push it and it goes "clunk, clunk" with no firing sounds at all.  What could this be?  I have heard of the kickstand kill switch going bad - do you think it could be that?  I can't think of a mechanical problem that would strike so suddenly.

Answer
Hi Todd,

Cannot tell what the problem is from the description given. Need to perform electrical diagnosis. It may be a safety switch; side stand sw., clutch sw., neutral sw., or it may be a loose connection or corrosion. Have to investigate and find the cause.
