2001 cr80r if ignition coil is reads no resistance is it bad , and can you test the trgger with an ohm meter and spinning the motor

A: Maybe, it depends on the VOM (multimeter) you're using and the scale it is set at when testing the coil's windings.


Q: and can you test the trgger with an ohm meter and spinning the motor

A: No. Measure continuity and resistance.

Buy the Service Manual for you CR. It will pay for itself with the first self repair. The manual has all repair and test information you'll need. I recommend Honda's manual. If you must save a couple of dollars, buy a Clymer. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for.
