Motorcycle Repair: z50 engine coatings, hot tank solution, paint houses

Not a 250-305 but maybe similar.What is the best paint or method to restore engine cases (factory painted) and cylinder head (alum.)1969 z50a.? THANK YOU Ryan Whitaker

Ryan, for the painted engine cases for early bikes, we used Krylon Dull Aluminum to get that flat finish. Shiny parts get Duplicolor Silver Wheel paint.

Most cylinder heads are not painted. There are some high temp engine paints from WalMart or automotive paint houses that will work if yours is too dingy or corroded to clean with carb cleaner dip or a hot tank solution from a machine shop.
