i have a 98 cr 125. i was riding at a track and lost spark and it shut off. i changed the spark plug cap and it now has spark but wont start. it has a new top end with plenty of compression it stopped running after about 1 hour of riding it after breaking it in. it shut off after i landed off a jump and had my foot on the rear break without the clutch engaged. my next race is dec.12th and i'm second in points and cant miss the race. please help if u can. you can email me at signman_2069@yahoo.com . thank you mark loop

Answer
Hi Mark,

I can understand the engine stall, but I would need to perform several diagnostic checks before answering this question.

You'll just have to investigate until you discover the cause. I suspect an electrical connection came loose and has poor conductivity. Disassemble tether kill and regular kill switches, if possible, and check for broken contacts, etc...

Check wiring connectors one at a time. You may discover a looose connector.

Good luck with the racing season. Great points standing. BTW.... my expertise is roadracing, but it's all good. : )
