I drained the battery on my motorcycle by trying to start it in the cold. All the lights turn on but then when I try to start it, all I hear is a fast clicking. I'm assuming I cranked it too many times and the battery can't power the starter. I want to jump start it but can not seem to find how to get to the battery. My question is, how do I get access to the battery on a 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit?

Hi Charlie,

The clicking sounds are exactly what you thought; the battery needs chraged (or replaced).

Warning: Do not use a car to jump-start your MC. Ampres are much higher for cars/trucks. Instead, test battery and if good, try charging the batery with a maximum 1.0 amp charger overnight. If the same thing happens after charging, other problems exist and need attention.

Look behind the side panels. Simply remove the panels to access the battery.
