Motorcycle Repair: kawasaki 1980 ltd 750, vacuum line, carbs

i have a problem maybe you can help.

i can not get my bike to start. here are the details:

1 carbs were rebuilt and bike was running very good
2 bike sat for about a month not running
3 installed new fuel petcock, tested off the bike and works fine.
4 i am getting fire to spark plugs

Hi Paul.
 ok.  Here's your answer;

1)  You are getting fuel through the petcock.  Is it hooked up correctly with the vacuum line on the intake?

2)  You are getting spark.

3)  Since the bike was running, you don't likely have a compression problem.

4)  Have you checked to see if fuel is getting through the carb?

Unless you have a short in the ignition circuit or a failing ignition coil, then that is the most likely reason for your problem.
