Motorcycle Repair: oil site glass, kawasaki ninja 500, motorcycle oil

Hi Chris!

I notice on my ninja 500 there's a white material
that coated the inside of the oil site glass, almost looking like white paint.  I just had the motorcycle oil changed a few weeks ago, part of its 10,000 km maintenance performed. I called the shop and asked them the same question and they said not to worry as the  oil looks normal as oil should ,(the oil isnt white).  I just cant figure out what that white coating is.

Hi Gary.
 Those mechanics may know engines, but they do not know oil.

 That white stuff is a fungus that grows in oil that has had water in it for a long time.  You need to flush the engine with an engine flush treatment and replace the oil with fresh oil.
